Pruebas para evaluar el entendimiento conceptual en cursos de zoología y botánica

Resumen
Se presentan dos pruebas para medir el entendimiento conceptual en dos cursos de Biología: Zoología y Botánica. El proceso de desarrollo, validación y administración de las pruebas se describe con el objetivo de promover la utilización de este tipo de herramientas en la investigación educativa. Además, se discuten los resultados de nuestros estudiantes y el valor de estas pruebas para evaluar iniciativas pedagógicas.

Abstract
We present two test-instruments to measure conceptual understanding in two Biology courses: Zoology and Botany. We describe the process of development, validation, and administration of such tests in order to promote the use of this type of instrument in education research. In addition we discuss the results of our students and the effectiveness of these tests in evaluating pedagogical initiatives.
