Las
investigaciones sobre el cerebro y las emociones: Implicaciones educativas para
la niñez temprana

Resumen
A
lo largo de la historia el estudio de las emociones se ha dejado a un lado,
principalmente por la dificultad de medir algo tan abstracto. Sin embargo, los
desarrollos tecnológicos de los últimos años han provocado un auge, no sólo
en el estudio el cerebro, sino también en el estudio de áreas como las
emociones. Las investigaciones recientes sobre el cerebro han revelado
información sobre el aprendizaje desde una óptica neurológica, que tiene
fuertes implicaciones en la educación de la niñez temprana. Con el propósito
de ayudar a los maestros y maestras a mejorar sus prácticas educativas, este
trabajo investiga y discute los hallazgos sobre el cerebro y las emociones desde
una perspectiva constructivista y analiza las implicaciones educativas
resultantes de éstos. Se abordan temas como desarrollo y funcionamiento del
cerebro, interacción son el entorno, plasticidad, cerebro y emociones, miedo y
otras emociones negativas, apego y construcción de conocimiento, entre otros.

Abstract
The
study of the emotions has been; left aside throughout history because of the
complexity of measuring such an abstract concept. Moreover, the technological
developments of the last few years have provoked an increase, not only in the
study of areas like the emotions. Recent investigations of the brain have
revealed information about learning, from a neurological point of view, with
great implications on educative practices. With the purpose of helping teachers
improve their teaching strategies, this paper investigates and discusses the
discoveries related to the brain and the emotions, and analyzes their
implications on early childhood education from a constructivist perspective.
This paper also discusses themes like the functioning and development of the
brain, the individual’s interaction with its surroundings, plasticity, fear
and other negative emotions, attachment, the construction of knowledge, and
others as well.
